Welcome to

AllUK Motoring

For the past month we have been busy redesigning the site. We are Going to be building a database of MOT garages around the country to make booking an MOT as easy as 123 (Excuse the cheese)

MOT garage update, we have now added mot stations around the uk from london mot stations to birmingham. The mot test can involve clutchs, tyres and exhausts. We have given you a list of the most common mot faults and failures.

We have added a usefull resource to the site where our users can scan and upload their MOT failure sheets, the reason behind doing this is the general public can comment on those failure sheets whether it be to advise on a price for repairs, for speculation of the the failures that have been issued or simply to be ammused at the three pages of problems someone has been issued.

This will also give users a guide for buying a car and car repairs. MOT Failure Section

We have recently added a Mock MOT test section so you can prepare you vehicle for its MOT.

As well giving you a place to find an MOT garage with ease, we will have information on:

Over the next few weeks the site will be updated so check back regulary.

But wait there's more, we're going to have car tax prices, current fuel prices and insurance advice.

What is an MOT test and what does it involve

An MOT is is a road safety measure to ensure as much as possible that all cars are road worthy at the time of passing.

Vehicles less than 3 years old to not require an MOT until the date required.

The purpose of the test is to ensure that all vehicles are properly maintained and examined once a year by an authorised MOT test station to make sure they comply with certain requirements of the law.

Remember- the test certificate relates only to the condition of the testable items at the time of the test and should not be regarded as evidence of their condition at any other time, it should not be accepted as evidence of the general mechanical condition of the vehicle.

Your vehicle & The MOT Test

If you have a vehicle that is more than 3 years old it will need an MOT test each year to ensure that it meets at least the minimum road safety and environmental standards.

The test is used to check a number of items on the car for problems, The reason this was introduced was the problems arrising from unroad worthy cars and the impact they can have on the road.

The test

MOT tests are carried out at garages authorised to do so by the Vehicle Inspectorate to carry out the following tests. The autorised mot stations are identifiable by the blue, 3 triangle MOT Sign.
